Zuas delivers training and skills development workshops for academics and early career researchers that span the range of activities needed to move the output of university research into the outside world.

Our workshops are interactive, high-energy, and fun. We build capability in:

2. Pre-accelerator programmes

Short pre-accelerator programmes for individuals and teams who are looking to progress exciting opportunities.

Short programmes

Duration: Four-six weeks. Interactive workshops plus one-to-one sessions with participants.

Validated opportunities can apply for proof of concept or development funding, in advance of spin-out.

Longer programmes

Duration: Up to four months. Interactive workshops to explore and build the opportunity. Extensive one-on-one supports.

Engagement with potential customers, partners and industry experts  to explore and validate the opportunity.

Participants build and validate a business concept, and are ready to pitch for the funding necessary for start-up.

Fellowship opportunities

Duration: Up to one year.  Interactive workshops to explore and build the opportunity. Extensive one-on-one supports.

Deeper engagement with potential customers and partners to build towards first revenues.

Product and service prototyping. Manufacturing and compliance. Sales and distribution.

Participants build and validate a business concept, and pitch for the funding necessary for start-up.

Follow-on supports

We are a team of practitioners, with a wealth of innovation and business creation experience, focused on the university sector. We are flexible in how we support our customers, to accelerate and maximise the impact of university research.

We are a team of practitioners. We have built and led technology-rich start-up businesses, worked on many product development assignments, and supported and mentored a large number of fledgling business teams.

Zuas is focused on the university sector, and has supported more than 25 universities and research institutes.
